Fife and Tayside

Overview

Scotland is blessed with many wonderful areas, but when you think of the Home of Golf one place comes to mind – St Andrews. Spending time in this wonderful golf town is truly a rite of passage for any lover of the game.

St Andrews is simply a wonderful town and a great place to spend time. This is the town where the very idea of playing eighteen holes was born.

There is a fantastic range of hotels in the town and we know all the best pubs and restaurants to visit. If you want to spend a little time away from the course then you can explore nearby distilleries, castles or fishing villages which we are happy to organise for you.

However, the real star of this trip is, of course, the golf. You can walk to several of the St Andrews courses that start and finish in the town. Just a short ride away you will find some of Scotland’s most historic links – such as Elie, Crail and Lundin Links.

However, Fife has also seen some truly world class modern courses constructed in recent years. Kingsbarns is a modern classic, and only 20 minutes away from St Andrews. Many visitors proclaim it their favourite course of all. Dumbarnie is another fantastic addition to the Fife landscape. Already host to the Women’s Scottish Open this is a course which our clients just love.

As if that’s not enough you can head north to Carnoustie, host of many Open Championships, as well as the historic Panmure.

Every trip we out together is tailored just for you. Maybe you’d like to spend a couple of nights in the country’s capital, Edinburgh, or head north to visit Cruden Bay and Riyal Aberdeen. Here is one sample itinerary, but contact us now to start planning your trip to the Home of Golf.
